Health Support Program for Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Migrants

At Refugees Children’s Project, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances. That’s why we’re proud to announce our Free Health Support Program, designed to provide essential medical care to pregnant women, children, and individuals on chronic medication who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants in need.

Who Can Benefit from Our Health Support Program?

Our program is open to:

– Pregnant women who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants and are in need of prenatal care, delivery services, or postnatal support
– Children who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants and require medical attention for acute or chronic conditions
– Individuals on chronic medication who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants and need assistance with accessing their medication and ongoing care

What Services Do We Offer?

Our team of dedicated support staff and Unjani healthcare professionals will provide

– Initial assessments and screenings
– Referrals to Unjani Clinic, our partner healthcare provider, for further medical care and treatment
– Assistance with accessing chronic medication and management of ongoing health conditions
– Health education and counseling for individuals and families

Our Partnership with Unjani Clinic

We are proud to be working in partnership with Unjani Clinic to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our clients. We receive clients at our office, assess their needs, and refer them to Unjani Clinic for further medical care and treatment. Our partnership with Unjani Clinic enables us to provide seamless and integrated care to those who need it most.

OUR COMMUNITY WORKERS

Our team includes health workers who work directly with the community to identify health challenges and develop targeted interventions to address these needs. Through our health program, we help the community access essential health services, promote health literacy, and build resilience to health crises.

Our health workers engage with the community to:
– Identify community health challenges and develop targeted interventions
– Provide health education and promote healthy behaviors
– Support access to essential health services, including medical care and mental health support
– Build partnerships with local healthcare providers to strengthen the healthcare system
– Empower communities to take ownership of their health and well-being

By working directly with the community, we aim to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and enhance the overall well-being of refugee and migrant children and their families.
